Welcome to Apac District

Dear visitors, well wishers and citizens of Uganda, we welcome you to Our District Website. Our District is situated in the Northern region of Uganda and Lango Sub-region in Uganda. The largest town in the district is Apac which is located approximately 62 kilometres (39 miles), by road, south-west of Lira, the largest city in the Lango sub-region.

In 2006, Apac District was split and part of it became Oyam District. In July 2010, it was further sub-divided to create Kole District.

Latest News

Apac is a town in Apac District, Northern Uganda. It is the 'chief town' of the district and the district headquarters are located there. The town  is named after the district.

Apac General Hospital was established in 1968, with a capacity of 100 beds. It serves Apac District, and parts of the neighboring districts of Kiryandongo, Kole and Oyam.
