CAO calls for Team building spirit

The Chief Administrative Officer, Apac, Mr Michael Wanje has called for a joint effort in the implemengation of government programmes and policies.

While addressing a Handover Meeting at Planning Unit, Mr Wanje noted that it is important for team spirit building by both political and civic leaders of Apac district local government. "For teh district mission and objectives to be achieved, we must work together, avoid backstabbing, causing hatred or stress," he said.

Ms Stella Abyeto was handing over office to Mr Wanje as she goes to Pakwach.  Wanje reveals that all offices in the district are important for ensuring effective and efficient service delivery.

Wanje noted that 'We must do what it takes to avoid unneccesaary court cases as they swallow the meagre resources meant for development'.  "We must at all times endeavour to do right things, make rational and informed decisions to avoid landing the district to court," he said.

Vice District Chairman, Hon. Odongo Asanti welcomed the new CAO to the district. He promised that the political leadership will support the technocrats in all their efforts while implementing government projects. "As politicians, we are aware that senseless fights hamper development, at the expense of the general public, so we must avoid it" Asanti said.
