Apac District Political & Technical Officials in Masindi for a council study tour
Apac District Political team led by the Leader of Government Business and Technical led by the Chief Administrative Officer on Tuesday 23rd April, 2024 traveled to Masindi District Local Government for the Council study tour.
The leaders’ visit to Masindi was to benchmark on the series of programmes or sectors to improve service delivery i.e Education, Finance, Leadership & Governance and Micro-scale irrigation system being supported by Ugift.
Education
Leaders visited Walyoba Primary School, one of the best performing Government primary schools out of the eleven in the District. The leaders were interested in the explanations behind performance, pupil-teachers’ relationship, impact of foundation body (Anglican) to the development of the school, parents’ contributions to the development of the school and security around the school.
Finance
The quest was the deliberate on financial management within the District most especially the Local Revenue. The Senior Finance Officer, who took the team through the strategies Masindi District is using in Local Revenue generation and mobilization, distribution for the Development of the District.
Leadership & Governance
The Masindi District Chairperson, Cosmas Byaruhanga brief the leaders on the tactics being used to develop the District. He talked about the relationship between technical and political wing to ensure effective service delivery to the people of Masindi and Uganda as a country.

After being equipped with strategies to achieve the goals on the above programme, District Speaker Hon. Peter Obong Acuda pledged to all the Councilors and Sub County Chairpersons to come back and implement the knowledge received from Masindi.
