Apac Health facilities revamped in 2017/2018 financial year

District Chairman, Bob Okae, has every reason to smile as the District Health department has a long list of performance achievements in the last financial year (2017/2018).

While addressing a District Council Meeting on 4th October 2018, at Scouts hall, Okae noted that using the Central Government releases, the District rehabilitated and refurbished the mortuary block at Apac Hospital.

Apac elects 6 new LC5 Councilors

 

After seceding of the Kwania County from Apac District from 1st July 2018, to form a new District, Apac has elected 6 more LC5 councilors making a total of 21 District Councilors.

While addressing District Council meeting at Scouts Hall on 4th October 2018, District Speaker, Peter Obong Acuda announced that most of the new councilors represent Divisions from Apac Municipal Council, Apac and  Akokoro subcounties.

Apac Women Leaders swear in

The Chief Administrative Officer, Stella Abyeto, has advised leaders to mobilise rural and urban women to form groups in order for them access government programmes and projects. She said that most women are bread winners of homes as they topilin gradens and doing domestic chores as men spend time for leisure and drinking. The CAO was addressing District Women Council leaders during a swearing in ceremony held at District sPeaker's office on 25th Septmber 2018.

Apac Town

Apac is a town in Apac District, Northern Uganda. It is the 'chief town' of the district and the district headquarters are located there. The town  is named after the district.
