Apac Health facilities revamped in 2017/2018 financial year
District Chairman, Bob Okae, has every reason to smile as the District Health department has a long list of performance achievements in the last financial year (2017/2018).
While addressing a District Council Meeting on 4th October 2018, at Scouts hall, Okae noted that using the Central Government releases, the District rehabilitated and refurbished the mortuary block at Apac Hospital.
“The Mortuary block has been installed with a six-body fridge, standby solar system,” he said amidst applause from councilors.
Still at Apac Hospital, the main operating theatre was renovated, 2 blocks of 5-stance pit latrine constructed, a modern laboratory unit constructed and OPD block rehabilitated. He adds that the hospital also received a new X-ray machine and 856 male persons circumcised.
Okae also revealed that construction of Olelpek Health centre2 completed and increased family planning done substantially.
The Chairman listed the planned development projects for 2018/2019 in health sector as renovation f the female wards at Apac Hospital, complete construction of a laboratory block, remodeling and construction of OPD block at Olelpek HC2 face-lifting and constructing of staff houses at Olelpek HC2, among others.
