THE Resident District Commissioner (RDC), Beatrice Akello has allayed fears of misappropriation or diversion of public funds in Apac saying several projects including NUSAF3 and Youth Livelihoods were being implemented as planned.
While addressing revelers who had throngedBoma Ground to celebrate the 32nd NRM Liberation Day on Thursday (1st February, 2018), Akello noted that shs2.6Billion was earmarked for NUSAF3 projects. “Already we have received shs1.3 Billion and it’s circulating within the beneficiary communities in the district,” she said.
RDC revealed that her office and other stakeholders were constantly in the field monitoring the implementation of all government programmes including Youth Livelihoods, Operations Wealth Creation and Women fund.
RDC lauded CAO, Abyeto Stella for being accountable, committed and guiding Heads of department in effective financial management. “Our new CAO is so far the best Apac has ever had in its history of leadership. She transparent and vibrant, with huge skills in human resource management,” RDC Akello reveals.
“We happy for receiving funds from the NRM Government and spending it in the areas budgeted for this financial year. All this is meant to increase household livelihoods in our communities, we are on ground checking physical accountabilities, launching and commissioning all projects” she said.
Deputy Secretary General, Mr Todwong was the Chief Guest at the colourful ceremony. Members from Parliament from across Lango subregion attended the function which also attracted leaders from sub counties and Aduku Town council.
