Residents and Guests from across Langosubregion on Thursday enjoyed the colourful celebrations of 32th NRM Liberation Day at Boma Ground, ApacMunjcipal Council.
The event that took place on 1st February, 2018, at Boma ground had several dignitaries including Deputy General Secretary, Mr. Todwong, who as there as Chief Guest. Others included Betty Engola(Apac Woman MP), AyooTonny (Kwania MP), Akol(Otuke MP), and MP MrsJiboMambuu.
Chief Administrative Officer, Abyeto Stella, together with Heads of Department and other civil servants attended the ceremony, with Hon OkelloOnac, Secretary Finance and Administration leading the political team.
Abyeto said that the district political and civic leaders were committed to ensure effective and efficient implementation of government programmes to enhance service delivery
Guests heaped praised on District Leaders, especially, CAO AbyetoStellla, for funding and organizing such a colourful function with provision of lunch meals and soft drinks to thousands who attended. “We are extremely happy with the new CAO. She is a real leader and we pray she remains longer in this this district so that sanity and development prevail,” MP JiboMambu lauds.
People including leaders from subcounties and other areas, thronged the venue, danced and feasted with joy. A Brass Band guided staff from police, prison and students and others during match pass and street matching that beautified the ceremony.
Todwong lauded Apac leaders for the team spirit saying unlike others, Apac district was unique as even civil servants attend NRM Day celebrations. “The NRM Secretariat is grateful and appreciative to Apac civil servants for organizing and attending the NRM Liberation Day celebrations annually,” Todwong observed.
