Nine students have been certified for Apac District Quota scheme academic year 2017/2018 by the District Chairperson Hon. Okae Bob and some representatives of Apac District Council on Mon 17th July, 2017. While vetting the students in the District Chairperson’s office all the 9 were cleared and deemed fit for Apac District quota scheme academic year 2017/2018.
Out of the 9 students there is gender proportion of 4 girls to 5 boys being admitted to public and higher institutions of learning within Uganda. In addition, out the 9, 4 will be admitted to Makerere University save the rest who will go to Kyambogo, MUBS, Lira, Gulu and Muni universities respectively.
The District Chairperson vehemently appreciated the parents for the great efforts they accorded to see that their children passed exceptionally. In addition, the above students were selected by the Joint Admission Board for public universities and must have studied from schools within Apac, and by the virtue of birth be born from Apac in order to qualify for Apac District Quota.
The District Vice Chairperson Hon. Odongo Asanti cautioned them of moral decadence and also reinvigorated them to be part of tribal associations especially LASA entailing the Langis at campus.
